Men of the Cross, Happy New Year! The purpose of this e-mail is two-fold. First, we will have a wrap-up of our discussion/thoughts on “Wild at Heart” on January 17th, at 7:30. We’ll talk about last impressions of the book, and where we go from here as Christian men placed in our families, our church and our communities. Second, the next book we will be
reading is “Straight talk to men” by James Dobson. This book is the same length
as Wild at Heart, and is divided into the following topics: A man and his
children; A man and his wife; A man and his work; A man and his masculinity; A
man and his Emotions; and A man and his God. The cost for the book is $12. I am sending this to you all to let you know about the book, and give you a chance to decide if you’d like to “re-up” for the next reading/study. I will also be putting a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board until Sunday, January 18. I’ll order the books on the 19th, and have them here by the following Sunday (January 25). If it works with everyone’s schedule, we will meet on the following dates at 7:30: February 14 (yeah I know, Valentine’s Day. If this doesn’t work for a number of guys, we can move it to the next week).
